Sanctification
Balance is the key to life in the Kingdom of God. However, a false balance is an abomination to God. Our heavenly Father has called us to separate from the world, and unto Him. Many times, it’s difficult to make a distinction between Christians and non-Christians.
Sanctification is separation unto God, and away from the world.
When you separate unto God, you separate from the world. Sin has pleasure for a season, and then there are consequences. At God’s right hand, there are pleasures forever more. As Christians, you must let go of your old sinful ways. People should be able to make a distinction between you and non-Christians. Separate from those things that do not line up with the Word. This separation is a life-long process.
Sanctification is also the separation of Believers from evil thoughts and deeds. By God’s grace, Believers are separated from sin and dedicated to God’s righteousness. If you miss the mark or fall into sin, get up, repent, plead the blood of Jesus, and keep working on your sanctification. Christians shouldn’t condemn each other and should avoid hypocrisy. Represent the Kingdom of God by being a person of character and integrity (I Thessalonians 4:6, AMP). The result of separation is holiness or purification from guilt and the power of sin. Holiness is being of one mind with God. What He hates you hate; what He loves you love. God’s ways are not our ways; His Word will not return to Him void. Many times, Christians govern their lives according to the world’s ways and standards. iii. We must ensure that the words we accept line up with God’s Word. Our lives must be governed by God’s Word, Words ultimately determines our destiny.
We are in Christ Jesus, and He is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30). Like, Jesus, we have been made wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.
It’s the will of God that we abstain from fornication (I Thessalonians 4:3, AMP).
Fornication is having sex outside of marriage. In the world, it is a norm to have sex outside of marriage. However, God wants us to separate from this ungodly attitude. When two Christians fornicate, they are sexually violating the Body of Christ. Refrain from using your body for the passion for lust (I Thessalonians 4:4-5 AMP).
