Let Nothing Stop You!

December 9, 2009

I wanted to mention that this blog and the other previous ones starting with “Facing the Challenge” are connected. So when reading they should build off of each other.

The enemy also known as the thief who “comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10, AMP). He most certainly does not want you to pick up the pieces in your life. He knows that God has always intended for every individual in this life to live a life of abundance. God desires for everyone to live a life full of quantity and quality. Jesus said, “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (John 10:10, AMP). We have to renew our thinking before we can ever reach that place of our destiny. As I mentioned earlier, all people, regardless of the circumstances of their birth, their history, or existing situation, have a God-called purpose. How does a person arrive at a place of not arriving in their place of destiny? We arrive at this place by the kind of information that is obtained inside of a person. We are controlled not by external influences but controlled by what we put into our thinking. There has to be order and balance to every person’s life if there is to be any breakthrough in our lives. Facing the challenges begins with priorities. Do they line up to God’s Word; not our own personal agenda? It requires us to leave our comfort zone and step out in God’s way of doing things. In the lives of many people, they have been afraid of stepping out of their comfort zone. People have found comfort in being in a place of bondage, and it is difficult for them to see themselves free. It is like an eagle in a zoo that has been chained up for many years, and if you were to take the chain off of the eagle, he wouldn’t go anywhere because he doesn’t know he is free to fly. There is a saying that goes what you don’t know won’t hurt you, on the contrary, what you don’t know could keep you from being blessed and experiencing all that God has for you. Seeking out our own selfish idea, one that only benefits us, is not God’s way of doing things. God has set us aside during this time on earth for us to be a part of what he has planned. We must face every challenge with the understanding that God has determined for us to succeed even if our lives have been torn apart and ripped to pieces. Pick yourself up and begin to realize who you really are. Allow your life to be shaped by what the Word of God teaches us. The Word of God shapes our thinking, emotions, decisions, habits, and actions. Failure to allow the Word of God to shape us leads to frustration and disappointment with no hope of picking up our lives and moving into our place of victory.
