Don’t be afraid to step into the battle

December 1, 2009

I am continuing with exerts from my book “Picking up the Pieces”

Sometimes in the heat of the situation, instead of stepping up to the battle we become paralyzed in our own lives, knowing that we should do something but somehow expect others to do it for us. We cannot depend on someone else to do it for us. You see, when it comes to picking up the pieces in life and moving forward in our dreams in the midst of facing the challenges, we have to do something. We have the power to choose to either to do or not to do. We must not fail to live. There is no neutral ground when it comes to trusting God and experiencing breakthroughs in our lives. We must quit letting the giants in life keep us from picking up the pieces. We must take the initiative.  If we were to look back in life where we failed to do something different and had only chosen to go for it, what would it look like? Get involved in your life and begin to takes steps to do something meaningful instead of complaining how difficult the battle is, or what if we lose, or maybe even die. This could be the moment that will bring a lifetime of momentum that will carry you through to your to your place of victory. Woven in the story between David and Goliath we find one of the most exciting accomplishments ever seen in the face of those who were thinking of what should we do. David took the initiative and took the situation into his own hands with God’s help and defeated the giant. When we take the step and begin to move into doing something, an opportunity is given to see change in our situations. As we do this it will cause a response toward change. So, do not fear and stand still for that will cause delay. Those who do not delay and stand around and watch things happen around them are the ones who act. The reaction to any act causes something to happen because it interrupts and forces a response.

As we fly on the wings of life with the understanding that God has already planned out our lives and we do not have to fail but see our dreams become a reality, we then are able to stare into the many faces of this life that have tried to cancel out our purpose and again begin to step into the reality of all God has for us.  Dreams also become a reality through the door of doing the will of God for this is what brings a smile on the face of God. It brings such joy to him to see individuals come into their purpose.
