Staying Positive in a Negative World Part 2 (Don’t Quit)

Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19, AMP
Don’t quit when the devil comes against you for the Lord, according to the Word of God, will deliver you from every affliction of the devil. Just remember, the devil is a liar, and he wants to convince all of us that God is not going to help us. When we put our faith in God’s Word and not quit, we can rest assured that everything is going to be alright.
Faith connects you to God; it is your admission that you are dependent upon him and that your hope is in him. It pleases him because it is he you are trusting and no one and nothing else. Although there may be no physical evidence for your faith, you do have sufficient evidence in God’s Word. Your evidence for what you believe is your faith in God’s Word. God is a witness. He will never lie. If you take God at his Word, that Word will stand good in the trial. When we put our faith in the Word of God, we then have the ability to endure hard times. Speaking the Word of God produces and maintains a positive attitude in the midst of trials; the battle is in the mind. Here are some examples to making positive confessions concerning divine protection:

1. The Lord has granted me long life and has preserved me from destruction (Job 10:12).

2. I declare that no matter what happens around me, I have a covenant of peace, or wholeness, with God. His love, kindness and protection will never depart from me (Isaiah 54:10, 14–17; 1 Samuel 25:6).

3. No weapon formed against me prospers, and every tongue that rises up in judgment against me shall be proven wrong (Isaiah 54:17, AMP).

4. In the name of Jesus, I dwell in the secret place of the Most High God and abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).

5. The Lord is my Refuge and Fortress. He delivers me from the enemy; therefore, I do not fear the terror in the night or the destruction that takes place at noonday (Psalm 91:2–6).

Positive confessions using the Word of God help remove negative thoughts and give us God’s perspective. Trouble never takes God by surprise and for with every troubled situation, God himself has devised a victorious plan of action.
